Summer. A time of joys, you think during the school year. But, is that really true? Think about it: nowadays is summer how it was when we were 7 or 8.
My perception, my opinion, is that it is not. As we get older (like 12, 13, 14; not old…), our friendships at school deepen. And at school, we are able to see our friends every single day, but during the summer, I don’t. I don’t know about you, but frankly, I do not.
However, with school comes work. And with summer comes lazy days and vacations, but during summer, I think we get disconnected.
What I am trying to say is that no matter what the grass is always, ALWAYS greener on the other side. Summer to school. School to summer. Especially the latter. Someone is going somewhere more exotic or farther than you are, when you’re going somewhere mighty fine yourself (I feel this way).
This summer, I am trying to focus on my interests, and maybe even work on writing a little book.
